Established in 1986 as Mortgage Trust Limited, this specialist company is owned by a consortium of Scandanavian banks.
The society has pioneered the fixed and capped rate mortgages for the self employed. It also became part of First National Building Society in 1995. After demutalising in 1998 they became First Active Financial plc.
Acquired in the mid 1990's by First National Building Soc. Mortgage Trust then launched the first ever Current Account Mortgage in the United Kingdom 1997.
Since then it has gone through various changes until September 2003 when it became Mortgage Trust.
It's aim is to provide flexible buy to let solutions for investors who appreciate value and outstanding service.
