National Counties started life in 1896 when it was named Fourth Post Office Building Society so named because this Society developed a savings by post account.
Based in Epsom Surrey it still operates from just one branch and is the largest Building Society to operate from just one office. It changed its name to National Counties to better reflect its national operations with now over 43,000 members.
Its reserves are in excess of £100 million and has assets of over £850 million.
It offers standard, discounted, tracker and flexible residential mortgages in addition to these it also offers Buy To Let mortgages and Lifetime mortgages.
