A small group of railway workers established the Stafford Railway Building Society during the 1870s. The railway workers wanted to find a feasable method by which they as low paid workers could finance their own properties.
It does not have an office outside its original area. It is based in a single office in Stafford enabling them to keep their overheads low. The society offers its customers: Residential Mortgages and Buy to Let Mortgages.
