The Yorkshire Building Society is one of the UK's largest building society's in the UK following the merger of The Huddersfield & Bradford and West Yorkshire Building Societies. There are now 131 branchesin the Uk. It currently has more than a million members and its assets are in excess of £14 billion.

They were the first building society to commit to remaining a mutual organisation. This means that it is run for the benefit of its members and is, therefore, not required to pay out dividends to outside shareholders.
